2009 Colts Gameday Recap
On Sunday, December 13, 2009, approximately 1,200 FCA students, parents, & volunteers saw the Indianapolis Colts remain undefeated, move into history, and clinch the AFC's No. 1 seed with a 28-16 victory over the Denver Broncos at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. The win was the 22nd straight in the regular season for the Colts, breaking the NFL record of 21, previously held by the New England Patriots, and made them the winningest team in a decade.
A victory on the field was not the only good news of the day, however. Following the game, the FCA group was allowed to come down onto the field and hear from some of the Colts players and coaches. We were blessed to have Colts Chaplains Ken Johnson & Eric Simpson, #48 Justin Snow and #68 Eric Foster, and Tight End Coach Ricky Thomas, all share with the group. What a blessing it was to hear men share personal testimonies and of their faith in God - that is the true victory!
At the conclusion of the event, all in attendance were challenged to visit the website: www.morethanwinning.org for more information on who God is and how they can put their trust in Jesus Christ as well.
